Contests Rules and Regulations

• All tattoo contests are open for registration to show exhibitors only unless specified.
• Tattoo of the Day MUST be completed at the Expo on the day of the Contest.
• Tattoo must be a new piece to be started and completed on the day of contest. No pre-done work is allowed.
• There is a $15.00 registration fee per person per contest entry.
• 5 person minimum to compete for each category and 30 person cut off for each contest.
• Upon judging time, each contestant will be given an entry card with their entry number.
• All contestants must have the entry card with them in order to be judged.
• A panel of tattoo industry judges will review all tattoo contestants in each category and assign a score based on a pre-determined point system.
• There will be no disclosure of tattoo studios and tattoo artists for the tattoo contest entries to the panel of tattoo judges to ensure a fair judging system based on point merits system.
• 3 winners will be announced and the winning tattoo artists will be presented with a trophy for the following tattoo categories:

> Best Sleeve
> Best Leg
> Best Colour (Medium)
> Best Tribal /Celtic (Medium)
> Best Colour (Large)
> Best Tribal /Celtic (Large)
> Best Realistic
> Best Back Piece – Oriental
> Best Back Piece – Non-Oriental
> Best Front Piece – Oriental
> Best Front Piece – Non-Oriental
> Best of Show

• Only 1 winner will be announced for the following categories and presented with a trophy for the following categories:

> Tattoo of the Day

• The Organizer reserves the right to combine same piece contests for Oriental and Non-Oriental categories into 2 main categories (for example, Best Back Piece and Best Front Piece) in the event due to insufficient sign up for that category.
• The Judges decisions are final.
• Registered contestants are responsible for going to the pre- judging Room ON TIME for a briefing and allocation of entry number tags.
• There will be no refund of registration fees for contestants who do not make it on-time to the pre-judging area briefing.
• Winners and Runners-up will be announced during each day's Awards Ceremony on the Contest Stage at 8.30pm-9.00pm on Friday and Saturday and at 7.30pm on Sunday.
• Prizes will be given to all winning contestants.
• To be eligible for entry to the Tattoo of the Day Contest all entries must be completed that day at the Show by an artist registered at the Show. Only one (1) winner will be determined each day.
• To be eligible for entry to the Best of Show contest all entries must be completed within the 3 day show period by an artist registered at the Show. Only one (1) winner will be determined.
• Medium pieces refer to *Size: Within 30cm x 30cm.
• Large pieces refer to * Size: Above 30cm x 30cm.
• You may enter the same tattoo in several categories but you may not enter more than 1 category in one day.
• No complete disrobing will be allowed even for photos.
• The organizers have the final right to cancel/amend any categories due to insufficient sign up for that category.
